The Trunchbull is misbehaving again and Lightridge Theatre needs as many maggots… um, children as possible to join the revolt! Join us for our third year of LITE as we head into the world of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical! Whether you catch our spring musical, love the Netflix movie, have a future as a Broadway star, like to create backstage, or simply loved the book, we would be thrilled to have you on our stage with us for LITE this summer.

Some of the topics and teachers for the LITE summer training program of workshops include:
FOR ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS:
Two specialized tracks of skill-building are available: performance or technical theatre.
Students in the Performance Experience will get training in Acting, Singing and Dancing as they prepare for their production of "ROALD DAHL'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JR." at the end of the week for friends and family to experience what students have worked on and learned throughout the workshops.
Students in the Tech Experience will support the production of “ROALD DAHL'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JR." as they work alongside Lightridge Theatre’s award-winning tech mentors to learn how to operate stage lights and sound, as well as preparing the sets, props and costumes.
Students participating in “ROALD DAHL'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JR” will be expected to commit to the full two weeks and be in attendance every day Monday through Friday (both performers and tech). Every minute of preparation will be necessary to give every student the best experience possible in the final performance.

For rising 3rd – 9th graders who want to be part of the Performance Experience. These students will attend BOTH weeks and will present ROALD DAHL'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JR. at the conclusion of the program.
Cost of this program is $600 total for both weeks.

For rising 5th – 9th graders who want to work on the Technical/Production aspects of ROALD DAHL'S MATILDA THE MUSICAL, JR. Students will: Learn and lead tech for the production of the show, including lights and sound, props, basic set design and costumes. These students will attend BOTH weeks.
