Ghosts in the Machine

SYNOPSISGhosts In The Machine follows a group of high school students whose lives are thrown into chaos when their phones begin sending mysterious, impossible messages from strangers the dead and sometimes even themselves.
As digital connections blur with the real ones, they uncover unsettling truths about technology, loneliness, and how deeply they've become entangled with the devices they depend on. Lightridge Advanced Theatre students will head to Stone Bridge High School to perform the one-act play “Ghosts in the Machine” for the regional VHSL theatre competition on Saturday February 7. The day of performances is open to the public. Riverside HS is first to go at 10:30 and Lightridge is slated to perform at noon. Times are approximated and audience may only enter and exit between shows. Come show your support and enjoy a free day of theatrical performances.

Lightridge Theatre Students will be showcasing the work they prepared for the Virginia Thespian Festival. This includes, songs, dances and scenes, as well as a display of Sean Mars' award winning sound design. Come see the debut performance of the Lightridge Theatre Improv Troupe also. While you are there you can sample treats from our Culinary Department. Bring some cash and donate to the Dulles South Food Pantry. 100% of all ticket sales will be donated!
The evening closes with a short comedic play by out Theatre 1 & 2 class called 13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview by Ian McWethy, on the Lightridge stage. Event begins at 6:00 with acts performing every five minutes. |
